The Karnataka Cabinet has approved a civic amenity site at Kusanur village in Kalaburagi to build a community hall for the Uppara community.

Allotment Details

Minister Priyank Kharge stated in a media note on Friday that the decision fulfills a long-pending demand from the group. The Cabinet, led by the Chief Minister, decided to give the plot to the district Uppara Sangha.

Plot Specifications

The allotted site measures 439.67 square metres and carries the number PL-01. It is situated in Survey Number 19/2B at Kusanur village within a private layout cleared by the Kalaburagi Urban Development Authority.

Community Impact

Mr. Kharge noted that the community is socially, educationally and economically disadvantaged. The new hall will host community activities and cultural programmes to help with local welfare and development.

Context

Civic amenity sites in urban layouts are typically set aside for public use, including parks, schools and community facilities. Governments often allot such plots to community groups to support local welfare initiatives.
