Kia India recorded its highest-ever monthly wholesales of 33,462 units in October 2026, driven by festive demand and a growing portfolio.

Growth Numbers

Sales increased 13.22 percent year-on-year compared to 29,556 units in October 2025, adding 3,906 units. This marks the second straight month of record sales, beating September 2026's total of 32,017 units by 4.51 percent. Cumulative sales from January to October 2026 reached 2,86,470 units, marking a 21.31 percent jump from last year. With two months left in the year, Kia has already crossed its total 2025 sales of 2,80,286 units.

Model Performance

The Seltos and Sonet led the sales numbers. Seltos crossed 13,000 units, making up about 39 percent of the monthly total and averaging over 10,000 units a month since January 2026. The Carens, Carens Clavis, and Sorento also added to the numbers. Kia hit its highest-ever monthly electric vehicle sales in October, up 31 percent from September, with help from the Syros EV and Carens Clavis EV. CNG variants of the Carens and Carens Clavis made up nearly 10 percent of total sales.

Leadership Statements

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said the record numbers came from festive demand, popular older models, and good reactions to newer vehicles. He also pointed out buyer interest in the Sorento's hybrid technology, along with rising sales for CNG and electric models.

Context

Festive seasons in India often see a sharp rise in vehicle purchases due to consumer traditions and special market offers. Carmakers frequently use this period to introduce new powertrain options and push higher volumes across petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid, and electric choices.
