Candidates can download the hall ticket from the official IBPS website (ibps.in) between Oct 1 and Oct 11, 2026. The online prelim is a 1‑hour objective test worth 100 marks, split into three sections—English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability—with 100 questions in total. To move to the main exam, candidates must meet the cut‑off marks set for each section as well as the overall score. The institute also posted sample questions on its notice board for candidates to practice. Wrong answers attract a penalty of 0.25 marks, while unanswered questions carry no deduction. The recruitment drive aims to fill 11,403 clerk posts across the banking sector. Details on the exam pattern, download steps and other queries are available on the IBPS portal.
Context
The IBPS Clerk exam is a major entry route for fresh graduates aiming for bank clerk jobs in India. It is held annually, and the admit card is mandatory for entry to the test centre.
