The co‑pilot of the flydubai flight that was attacked was an Omani citizen who had undergone Islamist radical indoctrination.

Analysis

People may accept Netanyahu's statement because it fits a narrative of terrorist motivation and provides a clear culprit, especially amid heightened tensions in the region. However, the claim conflates the confirmed fact of the co‑pilot's Omani nationality with an unsubstantiated allegation of radical indoctrination, which lacks publicly available evidence. This matters because attributing the attack to a broader ideological movement without proof can inflame diplomatic relations, fuel anti‑Omani sentiment, and divert attention from the factual investigation of the incident.
