New customer additions on PhonePe Invest jumped 50% in October 2026, while total registrations rose 80% the same month. The surge follows the platform's rebranding from Share. Market to PhonePe Invest in October 2026, a move that placed all investing and wealth services under the PhonePe brand. The relaunch introduced Portfolio Optimiser, a single interface that combines three functions – Build, Review and Optimise. Build guides beginners through creating a portfolio, Review aggregates holdings from all demat accounts to show asset allocation, sector exposure and research‑backed health scores at no charge, and Optimise lets users swap under‑rated stocks with higher‑rated alternatives in one click. Users can import holdings from multiple demat accounts and view a consolidated view of their investments. Vijay Ajmera, Head of Business for PhonePe Invest, said the early response is encouraging and that the rise in new users confirms demand for a broader investing experience beyond simple transactions. He added that the next stage of investing is about helping Indians understand, evaluate and manage their portfolios, and that tools like Portfolio Optimiser aim to bring research‑driven insights to every retail investor. PhonePe Invest now offers stocks, ETFs, IPOs, mutual funds and Futures & Options, supported by the same research‑based tools. ## Context PhonePe, originally a payments app, is expanding into wealth management to capture a larger share of the growing Indian retail investor market, and the ability to see all demat holdings together addresses a common pain point for investors.
