Actor Amit Sadh stars in the lead role of the upcoming drama thriller film Pratap, which also features Esha Deol, Seema Biswas, Milind Gunaji, and Tigmanshu Dhulia. The promotional trailer for the movie launched ahead of its scheduled release, with the trailer arriving on October 26 following an earlier motion poster showing the main character behind bars and under investigation.

Character and Preparation

Discussing his role, Sadh compares the film character to legendary boxer Mike Tyson, describing him as a larger-than-life figure in the police force. While the actor previously played an officer in the web series Breathe, he states that Pratap has distinct complexities built specifically for a cinema release rather than digital streaming. Director Sachin Saraf guided the project, and Sadh adopted a strong, rugged physical appearance for the part, including a moustache similar to his looks in his earlier films Kai Po Che from 2013 and Super 30 from 2019.

Box Office Views

Sadh openly admits that box office collections and financial returns are very important to him because heavy financial investments are tied to the project. He points out that producers must recover their money for the industry to keep functioning properly, comparing tracking daily earnings to checking one's salary on the first of the month.

Context

Actors in the film industry often face intense financial pressure because film budgets require strong theatrical ticket sales to turn a profit. Character transformations, including changes in physical build and facial hair, are common preparation methods used by actors to help audiences separate new roles from their past performances.
