Prism, the parent entity of hospitality chain Oyo, posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 353 crore in the first quarter ended June, marking a 17 per cent growth from Rs 301 crore in the year-ago period. The quarterly profit included a deferred-tax credit of about Rs 244 crore, according to audited financials. Revenue from operations increased 35 per cent to Rs 2,814 crore compared with Rs 2,078 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Economic Times - Markets reported that EBITDA rose 24 per cent to Rs 760 crore during the same period.

Booking Growth

Gross Booking Value grew 30 per cent to nearly Rs 9,600 crore. Growth was broad-based across hotels and vacation homes. Hotel segment bookings grew 30 per cent year-on-year, while the vacation homes business recorded 28 per cent growth in bookings. Addressing shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting in early October, Prism Founder Ritesh Agarwal said the momentum continued into the first quarter of FY27. He noted that performance across hotels and vacation homes showed improving gross margins and higher operating earnings while the company invests in expanding brands and strengthening customer demand.

Context

Prism operates a geographically diversified hospitality business with North America as a key market following the acquisition of G6 Hospitality. Founder Ritesh Agarwal previously highlighted that G6 contributed approximately Rs 14,000 crore in Gross Booking Value during the previous fiscal year. Such financial metrics reflect the broader scale and ongoing market reach of large hospitality platforms preparing for public listings.
