The Sama 7000 is priced at Rs 74,999 and features a 5.1.2 channel soundbar system with visible top-firing speakers, side-firing surround speakers, 2 x 2-way height channels, and a larger wireless subwoofer with a single high-excursion 10-inch driver. It supports Dolby Atmos, a frequency response of 28Hz to 20kHz, and offers two HDMI channels, optical, AUX, and Bluetooth inputs. Meanwhile, the Malhar G2 home music system is priced at Rs 55,000 and comes in a rigid wooden enclosure with a fabric mesh front designed to minimise cabinet resonance. It includes an HDMI ARC port, optical port, USB ports, a physical power button, a top control panel with touch buttons, and a full-control remote. Both systems aim to address varied audio quality across streaming apps and cater to different preferences, with the Sama 7000 focused on cinematic experiences and the Malhar G2 tailored primarily for music lovers.
Context
Modern home audio systems increasingly rely on technologies like Dolby Atmos to recreate multi-directional surround sound in standard living rooms without requiring a complex multi-speaker setup. Brands often design separate hardware lines to target movie enthusiasts versus dedicated music listeners because cinematic mixes require height channels for spatial effects, while music playback benefits more from tuned wooden cabinets and balanced driver response.
