Vivo on Monday launched the Y32 5G, a budget‑friendly smartphone that pairs 5G support with an 8,000 mAh battery and up to 2 TB of expandable storage. The device keeps most hardware from the Y32 4G but upgrades to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a low‑end 5G chip introduced in 2023. A 6.87‑inch LCD panel delivers a 120 Hz refresh rate, while 44 W wired charging and reverse‑charging let the phone refill itself quickly and charge other gadgets. The Y32 5G ships with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory, and a microSD slot can hold an extra 2 TB. Photography is handled by a dual rear camera setup – a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens – plus an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Vivo claims the massive battery can power up to 37 hours of local video playback on a single charge. Connectivity options include Wi‑Fi 5, dual‑SIM support, and IP68/IP69 dust‑ and water‑resistance ratings. The phone will be offered in two colour variants, though Vivo has not disclosed pricing or launch dates. ## Context The Y32 5G targets India’s price‑sensitive market, where long battery life and expandable storage are key buying factors. Its Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip places it in the entry‑level 5G segment, competing against other budget smartphones that recently added 5G capability.
