Reliance Industries shares saw a sharp rally on Monday, November 2, rising nearly twelve percent for their biggest one-day jump since April 2020. This massive upward push added almost two lakh crore rupees to the company market value. Even with this large bounce, the stock remains down over seventeen percent for the year 2026 so far.

Market Views

Apurva Sheth from SAMCO Securities noted that the stock broke past a long downward trendline with high trading volumes. Looking back at nine similar past events since the year 2000 where the stock gained over five percent on heavy volume, the shares showed positive returns one year later every single time. At the same time, Gaurav Arora from SAHI pointed out that the price broke out of a base above twelve hundred twenty-five rupees. Arora added that the stock needs to clear a resistance level at thirteen hundred twenty-five rupees to confirm a full trend reversal.

Earnings And Jio

Analysts linked the positive mood to strong quarterly numbers and value unlocking from Jio Platforms. Reliance reported a record consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization of sixty-two thousand four hundred nine crore rupees, marking a twenty-three point nine percent yearly jump. Profit after tax also reached a record twenty-nine thousand five hundred fifty crore rupees, up thirty-three point eight percent.

Context

Stock market rallies of this size often happen when strong financial results meet positive technical patterns on trading charts. Large companies like Reliance frequently see heavy trading volumes when investors react to major quarterly earnings reports and new business milestones.
