Tanvi Exports India Limited wants to raise funds from the public by launching an initial public offering. The Rajkot-based company has already filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Company Details
The business designs, makes and exports fine gold jewellery to various markets. It accounts for about eight percent of the total gold jewellery exports coming out of Gujarat. Its catalog features gold items in different karatages, Italian machine-made chains, bridal wear, casting pieces, and stone-studded items. It also makes daily-wear products along with lightweight and nano-lightweight jewellery.
Operations
The firm runs an integrated manufacturing plant in Rajkot with in-house production facilities. This unit has an installed production capacity of five thousand five hundred kilograms every year. The items use precious metals like gold, silver and platinum, along with coloured and other gemstones.
Context
Companies often file draft papers with market regulators to raise fresh capital for business growth or to pay off existing financial dues. Such initial public offerings bring private firms onto public stock exchanges where ordinary people can buy and sell their shares.
