Viaterra's LFA Enduro rackless saddlebags paired with the 15‑litre LFA Tailbag proved a compact, secure touring setup during a 1,300‑km ride.

Features

The Enduro saddlebags give 16 litres of storage – a 7‑litre main compartment and a 1‑litre pocket on each side. The separate tailbag adds 15 litres and can be mounted independently. Both sit close to the bike, keeping its lines clean and avoiding a permanent rack or large tailbox.

Test Ride

Mounting uses supplied hook straps; once strap positions are known, fitting the bags takes seconds. The tailbag’s straps pass through loops instead of attaching directly to the side bags, which raised early stability doubts. Those doubts disappeared as the bag stayed firm over the 1,300‑km journey, though it shifted slightly forward and backward – a movement that may suit different rider sizes. Riding with a backpack was comfortable, and a Velcro add‑on or clips were suggested for tighter security. The combined capacity covered a four‑day tour: the tailbag held clothing, one saddlebag stored sneakers and small items, and the other held a tool kit, puncture‑repair kit and portable tyre inflator. Heavy rain tested the waterproofing; no water entered any compartment.

Context

Modular luggage like this lets riders add storage only when needed, avoiding the weight and drag of permanent racks. It appeals to motorcyclists who want touring range without turning their bike into a full‑touring machine.
