Yamaha Unveils Specifications and Pricing for the New Tenere 700 Adventure Motorcycle

The 2026 Yamaha Tenere 700 has arrived as a middle-weight adventure bike featuring a 689cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin-cylinder CP2 engine. This motor delivers 73.4 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 68Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, working alongside a 6-speed gearbox.

Mechanical Setup

The motorcycle uses a fully adjustable 43mm upside-down front fork with 210mm of travel alongside a link-type monoshock rear suspension that supports preload and rebound damping adjustments. It rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR adventure tyres as standard equipment.

Yamaha equips the bike with YCC-T, meaning Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle, which introduces Sport and Explorer riding modes for tailored power delivery. Riders can also turn off the ABS and traction control systems to gain full control on unpaved surfaces, while a 6.3-inch TFT instrument cluster displays all vital information.

Pricing

The adventure motorcycle carries a price tag of USD 10,999, which translates to roughly Rs 10.54 lakh based on exchange rates at the time of writing.

Context

Adventure motorcycles are designed to handle both regular paved roads and rough off-road dirt tracks with equal ease. Manufacturers often share engines across different models in their global line-up to balance development costs and proven reliability.
