Kartik Aaryan to lead Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘Operation Sindoor’
Reported by Tanvi Pillai (Section Editor) · Bollywood Hungama ·
Kartik Aaryan has been signed to play the main role in Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming film Operation Sindoor. The story comes from Lt. Gen K. J. S. ‘Tiny’ Dhillon’s book that details India’s deep strikes inside Pakistan and is billed as a turning point for regional security. Production is being handled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series together with Agnihotri’s own banner I Am Buddha Productions. Aaryan is now on location for Shimit Amin’s Captain India, a drama set against the Houthi war in Yemen, and will join the new movie after that shoot wraps. Agnihotri first revealed the project on social media in March, noting that it is built on the fallout of the Pahalgam terror attack and that the script was shaped with input from several branches of the Indian armed forces. He said the film aims to present facts clearly rather than generate hype. In addition to Operation Sindoor, Aaryan will appear next in Naagzilla, a fantasy adventure produced by Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and scheduled to hit theatres on 12 February 2027. The movie will also introduce Preity Mukhundhan to Hindi audiences.
