Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria Team Up for New Musical Love Story

Actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria will star together for the first time in an upcoming movie titled Parwana. Directed by Milap Zaveri and backed by Bhushan Kumar, the project is described as an intense musical love story where music plays a main role.

Cast Connections

While this is the first time Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria are working together, Tara Sutaria has previously worked with Milap Zaveri in the 2019 film Marjaavaan.

Dedication to Sanjay Gupta

Director Milap Zaveri has decided to dedicate the film to the late filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, whom he calls his Guruji. Zaveri met Gupta just ten days before his passing and shared the film title with him. Gupta reacted with great joy because an original film with the same name was produced by his father.

Past Collaborations

Sanjay Gupta played a big part in Milap Zaveri's career as a writer and filmmaker. Zaveri worked as a dialogue writer on Gupta's film Kaante, and their partnership continued on projects like Musafir, Shootout At Lokhandwala, and Shootout At Wadala.

Context

Movie directors often dedicate their new projects to mentors or senior filmmakers who helped shape their careers in the film industry. Such personal connections and past professional partnerships are common in the Hindi film industry when new movies are announced.
