Vivo is preparing to launch the Vivo S2 FE and Vivo V80 in India on October 6, with the S2 FE event set for 12 noon. The Vivo S2 FE is tipped to cost between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000, and a separate leak suggests a box price of Rs 39,999 for the 6GB and 128GB variant. Buyers will be able to purchase the device through Flipkart, Vivo's online store, and offline retail channels.
Specifications And Battery
Leaks indicate the Vivo S2 FE will feature a flat rear panel, a green finish, and a squarish camera module housing two rear cameras. The standout feature is expected to be a massive 10,000mAh battery, designed to stretch a single charge across long days of use. Performance and display duties will reportedly be handled by a Dimensity 7300e chipset and a 120Hz AMOLED screen, aiming for a balance between everyday power, screen quality, and battery life.
Vivo V80 Details
Launching alongside the S2 FE on October 6, the camera-focused Vivo V80 comes with a Zeiss-branded camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP Night Telephoto camera, a Zeiss wide-angle shooter, and a 50MP front camera with a 92-degree field of view and autofocus. The V80 packs a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 7,200mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging, and runs on Android 17-based OriginOS 7 with up to six years of security updates promised.
Context
Smartphone brands often time multiple device launches around early October to capture consumer interest ahead of the festive shopping season in India. Releasing variants like the Fan Edition (FE) alongside flagship models allows manufacturers to target different price brackets from upper-mid-range buyers to premium photography enthusiasts.
