Oben Electric leads the country in electric bike sales for September

Oben Electric recorded 1,417 electric motorcycle registrations in September 2026, marking its highest-ever monthly sales. Citing VAHAN data, the Bengaluru-based company stated this performance makes it the highest-selling electric motorcycle brand in India for the month.

Growth Factors

The strong demand for the Rorr Evo helped drive these record numbers. The company designed this model to focus on everyday use, performance, style, and driving range to attract both new electric vehicle buyers and people looking at traditional petrol bikes. Madhumita Agrawal, the founder and CEO of Oben Electric, called the sales figure a major milestone that shows customer trust in the brand. She noted that bikes must play a key part in India's shift to electric travel because they form a major share of daily transport.

Production and Network

Oben recently rolled out its 10,000th electric bike from its Bengaluru factory. The company builds its own key parts in-house, such as LFP batteries, motors, control units, chargers, and software, to keep a tight check on quality. To support its growing sales, the firm now has over 150 showrooms and service centers spread across more than 90 cities in 18 states.
