Mahindra’s camouflaged Vision T SUV prototype was spotted testing on public roads. The pre‑production model is heavily covered but spy photos reveal several cues that may appear on the production SUV. The Vision T follows the Thar.e concept shown in August 2023, continuing Mahindra’s off‑road line. Up front, the prototype sports a split grille with horizontal slats, a flat bonnet and an upright windscreen. Pronounced wheel arches frame an off‑road style front bumper. The rectangular outer rear‑view mirrors resemble those fitted on the Thar Roxx. Halogen headlamps and tail‑lamps are fitted for the test, but LED units are expected in the final version. The vehicle sits high above the ground and is equipped with side steps. Its wheels have a conventional shape, unlike the polygonal wheels seen on the Vision T concept. The rear quarter‑glass area is fully covered and the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate is absent; a spare wheel is likely to return on the production model, as on the Thar Roxx. A high‑mounted stop lamp and an upright rear glass complete the design highlights. ## Context Mahindra is using the Vision T to preview the next generation of its rugged SUVs. The design cues suggest a blend of classic Thar styling with newer proportions, signaling the brand’s intent to refresh its off‑road portfolio while keeping proven features.
