Sales Performance
Total sales for the first nine months reached a record 15,190 units, reversing a 1.72% decline recorded in 2025. The Top-End Luxury portfolio grew 13% and made up more than a quarter of total sales, driven by demand for models like the S-Class, GLS, Mercedes-Maybach range, and AMG G 63. The MANUFAKTUR personalisation programme accounted for about 75% of these high-end sales, while the Mercedes-AMG portfolio grew 18%.
Core And Electric Vehicles
Core Luxury remained the largest sales contributor at roughly 60% of nine-month volumes, with the long-wheelbase E-Class continuing as India's highest-selling luxury car. Entry Luxury made up 15% of sales with a 4% growth rate, including models like the GLA and CLA BEV. Battery-electric vehicle sales rose 16% despite limited vehicle availability, and the new CLA BEV secured over 1,000 confirmed orders with deliveries stretching to March 2027. Managing Director and CEO Santosh Iyer credited the results to the company's product mix, customer experience efforts, and retail network growth.
Context
Luxury carmakers in India have increasingly focused on high-end personalisation and electric vehicle additions to attract wealthy buyers. Companies often balance traditional internal combustion engine models with expanding battery-electric options to meet shifting consumer demand.
