Keralam BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar told Rahul Gandhi to “go to Bangladesh” in a Facebook post on Thursday, accusing the Congress leader of trying to create anarchy in India. Chandrasekhar wrote in Malayalam, “If Rahul Gandhi is interested in creating anarchy, he should go to Bangladesh. He can take along the Jamaat‑Islami, which supports him, and pursue politics there.” He added that Gandhi’s “dream” would never materialise because India’s democracy is protected by the BJP and 140 crore Indians. The BJP leader recalled that the Congress party lost the 2014, 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, alleging the defeats were caused by false propaganda. His remarks followed protests by Congress‑led opposition parties against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the BJP‑led central government over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and alleged deletion of voters from electoral rolls. Chandrasekhar said the public’s message had been clearly understood by the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. He claimed the Congress can no longer win confidence, pointing to its governance record in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Keralam as reasons voters would reject it. He further alleged Gandhi was diverting attention by spreading falsehoods and creating anarchy to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ## Context The exchange reflects the intense rivalry between the BJP and Congress ahead of upcoming state elections, with both sides using social media to rally supporters and discredit opponents.
