Aakash Chopra backs Mumbai Indians to cope well if Hardik Pandya trade goes through

Rumours are growing about a potential trade that could send all-rounder Hardik Pandya to the Punjab Kings. Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra stated on his YouTube channel that while Hardik is a talented player, the Mumbai Indians can handle his departure and will not miss him heavily. Talks regarding this possible trade have continued for months. In recent days, the Mumbai franchise has made their demands clear about what they want in exchange. Rumours also suggested that Suryakumar Yadav might leave the team, but sources confirmed he will stay with the five-time champions.

Team Lineup

With Suryakumar staying, the batting order features Rohit Sharma opening with either Ryan Rickelton or Quinton de Kock. The middle order includes Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Sherfane Rutherford, and Naman Dhir, allowing the team to easily fit Will Jacks into the lineup. Meanwhile, Punjab is reportedly ready to let fast bowler Arshdeep Singh go. Chopra noted that Arshdeep could potentially join Jasprit Bumrah, alongside Deepak Chahar or Corbin Bosch, with Mitchell Santner and Allah Ghazanfar handling spin.
