Minor daughter accused of helping father pack and dispose of bodies in Bengaluru family murders
Reported by Rohit Yadav (Staff Writer) · The Hindu - National ·
A 17-year-old pre-university student allegedly helped her father, cab driver Indushekar, murder seven family members and destroy evidence in Bengaluru. The minor girl has been named as an accused in the FIR after Indushekar told police during questioning that he received assistance from his daughter.
Investigation Details
Neighbourhood residents told reporters that the teenager was close to her father. A senior police officer stated that the girl is suspected of helping pack and dispose of the bodies. Investigators are also looking into whether she helped thoroughly clean the crime scene after each murder to hide evidence. Officers are probing if Indushekar used his daughter to invite two deceased couples for dinner, though this is yet to be confirmed. Police are examining whether the girl was brainwashed to take part in the crimes, noting that the accused involved a minor despite knowing her age.
Context
Family murders and the involvement of young family members in concealing crimes shock local communities and present complex legal challenges for law enforcement agencies. Police investigations in such severe cases typically rely on forensic evidence, neighbour testimonies, and custodial interrogation to establish the exact sequence of events.
