Return Home

Sixteen-year-old Anuj Chaudhary has returned to his home in Khera Baramai village of Sadabad after remaining missing for 93 days. Police and the child welfare committee completed the necessary legal steps on Monday before handing him over to his parents. He was recovered from the Ladli Ashram in Barsana with the help of Mathura police following a protest staged by his family outside Keli Kunj ashram on Saturday.

Family Reunion

Anuj's father, Rajveer Singh, stated that his son has promised never to leave home again. The child welfare committee allowed Anuj to stay with his family for 10 days based on his wishes, after he was presented before the committee following court procedures at the Sadabad ACJM court. Despite his safe return, Anuj remains very quiet and has not yet explained where he spent the last three months or what happened during that time.

Context

Missing person cases involving young people often draw intense community attention and lead families to stage public demonstrations when they feel search efforts are taking too long. Local authorities and child welfare committees follow specific legal steps, including court productions and counseling, to ensure the safe reintegration of minors with their families after such incidents.
