NPCIL has opened a paid internship programme for students who have cleared the Inter‑CA or Inter‑CMA exams in finance and accounts. Applications are accepted on the NPCIL careers portal npcilcareers.co.in and must be submitted by October 26, 2026. Candidates are screened on the basis of their aggregate marks; those without final marks will not be considered and will not be contacted. Only screened‑in candidates will be informed via their email ID for the next stage of selection. Shortlisted applicants receive an email invitation for a virtual personal interview, with interview slots offered in a 1:5 ratio to the number of applicants.
Stipend & Benefits
The internship pays a monthly stipend of ₹20,000. An extra ₹5,000 is added if the unit or headquarters cannot provide accommodation.
Eligibility
Applicants must be between 18 and 56 years old, meaning birth dates after October 26, 1970 and before October 27, 2008 are eligible. Only students who have passed the Inter‑CA or Inter‑CMA examinations in finance and accounts may apply. The practical‑training terms follow the guidelines of the respective institutions.
How to Apply
The online process involves four steps: register, activate the account, fill in personal details and upload a signature and photograph, then submit and print the application form. Shortlisted candidates should keep their Aadhaar card and printed application ready for the interview.
Context
Internships like this give finance‑focused CA and CMA students hands‑on exposure to the nuclear power sector, a field that often hires accountants for project budgeting and cost control.
