Apple is planning a busy October with reports pointing to two separate product rollouts during the month. According to MacRumors and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the company could hold a smart home product launch around October 13, followed by a second round of announcements in the final week of October.

Smart Home And Devices

The mid-October event is expected to bring a new smart home hub with a display, an upgraded HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV 4K. Apple has not yet confirmed whether it will host a dedicated physical event or simply release these items through online videos and press releases. The upcoming iPad mini is another device that could debut alongside the smart home gear, later in the month, or independently. Reports indicate the tablet may feature an OLED screen, an A20 Pro processor, a front camera placed on the landscape side, and an updated speaker setup.

New Macs And The iPhone Duo

The later wave of announcements is expected to cover several Mac models. Speculation points to long-rumored MacBook Ultra devices built with OLED displays, thin profiles, and light builds. Apple might also introduce a 14-inch MacBook Pro running on the M6 chip and a new iMac using the same processor. Furthermore, Apple confirmed that a high-end Mac Studio featuring the M5 Ultra chip and up to 512GB of RAM will launch in late October, though it remains unclear if it will join the final-week batch or arrive separately. Meanwhile, Apple is also getting ready to put the iPhone Duo on sale on October 23. The phone starts at ₹ 299,900 for the 256GB model, with higher tiers reaching ₹ 449,900 for the 2TB version, and features a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display alongside a 5.4-inch outer screen.

Context

Apple frequently uses the autumn season to refresh its hardware lineup ahead of the busy holiday shopping period. Staggering announcements across multiple dates allows the company to build sustained media attention for different product categories. This approach separates mainstream mobile devices from specialized computers and smart home equipment.
