UPDATE - follow-up to Don't confuse PM Modi, convince him for open debate with me: Rahul Gandhi to Amit Shah: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should come forward and face questions regarding vote theft that the country is currently asking. This follows earlier statements from Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who challenged Home Minister Amit Shah to convince the Prime Minister to engage in an open debate on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman rejected the challenge, reminding Mr. Gandhi that Parliament is the proper venue for such discussions and asking him to show more responsibility as the Lok Sabha LoP.

Context

These political exchanges highlight ongoing tensions between the ruling government and opposition leaders over election processes and parliamentary accountability. The debate over voter rolls and electoral integrity remains a central flashpoint in national politics as both sides trade charges in public forums.
