Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings has filed draft papers for an initial public offering to sell up to 99.75 crore shares. The proposed share sale is entirely an offer for sale by its majority shareholder, meaning the company will not receive any fresh capital from the issue.

Ownership and Banks

The majority shareholder plans to reduce its stake in the firm from 60 percent to about 45 percent through the share sale. Jubilant Beverages holds the remaining 40 percent stake and will not take part in the public issue. A group of seven investment banks will manage the issue, while KFin Technologies serves as the registrar.

Operations and Market Position

The firm was the largest non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage company operating exclusively in India by revenue in fiscal year 2026. Its portfolio included 41 beverages across sparkling drinks, hydration products, and still beverages as of June 2026. The distribution network covered around 1.7 million retail outlets through 2,273 distributors across 10 states and four Union Territories.

Financials

The company reported revenue from operations of ₹4,310.17 crore for the three months ended June 30, 2026. This figure marks a year-on-year growth of 20.46 percent, while total sales volume increased by 18.61 percent during the same quarter.

Context

Initial public offerings allow existing private investors to sell parts of their holdings to the public and provide a listed market value for the company. Major consumer brands often use public listings in growing economies like India to unlock the value of their established local distribution networks.
