UPDATE - follow-up to More races called as Democratic majority comes into focus: Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona stated Saturday at Crooked Con in Washington, D.C., that he is considering a 2028 presidential run, adding that conversations have taken place and will continue.

Alaska Race And Other Updates

President Trump claimed on Truth Social that Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan has won the Alaska Senate race, despite counting still being underway with about 74% of votes counted. Democrat Mary Peltola leads Sen. Sullivan by over 600 votes, which is below the 50% majority required under Alaska's ranked-choice voting system. Meanwhile, Texas Sen.-elect James Talarico visited the memorial of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, marking his first public appearance since defeating Republican Ken Paxton. President Trump also ordered the Department of Justice to investigate alleged threats by Democrats to impeach senior Republicans. Additionally, Republican Rep. Mike Kennedy won reelection in Utah's 4th Congressional District, and Democratic Rep. Aisha Wahab won reelection in California's 14th district against Melissa Hernandez.

Context

Ranked-choice voting systems allow voters to rank candidates by preference, triggering redistribution of votes if no candidate secures an immediate majority. Congressional elections often involve complex ballot counts and subsequent runoffs depending on state laws.
