Civic sense - taking responsibility for shared/public spaces
Reported by Varun Krishnan (Senior Writer) · Daily Reflection (original) ·
As we go about our daily lives on campus, let's not forget that the spaces we share are also shared by others. Our classrooms, libraries, and quad may feel like our own personal sanctuaries, but they're also public spaces that require our care and consideration. When we leave our trash behind, or fail to respect quiet hours, we're not just affecting ourselves - we're contributing to a collective environment that affects everyone around us. By taking responsibility for the spaces we use, we can create a community that's more inclusive, more supportive, and more beautiful for all.
