Manchester United is set to consider making 15-year-old JJ Gabriel the youngest player to ever play for the club. Gabriel has already made a huge impression in his two Premier League 2 appearances, scoring two magnificent goals. His debut against Ipswich saw him scoop the ball over an advancing keeper with a stunning finish, which has been viewed millions of times on social media. Just seven days later, Gabriel followed up with an even better effort, taking a short pass in a central position, spinning round to face the right way, and rifling a low shot into the net from just inside the six-yard box. The goal itself took less than five seconds to execute. Gabriel's talent has caught the attention of Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick, who praised the young player's big talent and physical adaptation to the game. However, Carrick also made it clear that he will ultimately decide when it is time for Gabriel to make his senior debut. Gabriel's age and experience are reminiscent of United's record appearance holder, Ryan Giggs, who made his debut at 17 in 1991. Giggs himself was scouted by Sir Alex Ferguson during a trial game at the Cliff training ground. With Gabriel's impressive performances, it remains to be seen whether he will follow in the footsteps of these United legends.
