American motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson is expanding its lineup by adding three performance-focused models to its Grand American Touring category next year. The upcoming bikes are expected to be the Road King ST, Road Glide ST, and Street Glide ST. Currently, the company's US website offers only two ST models, which are the Low Rider cruiser and the Pan America 1250 adventure tourer. The Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST are currently sold exclusively in CVO, or Custom Vehicle Operations, guise.
Model Details
The American manufacturer's ST designation points to performance-oriented motorcycles featuring stronger engines and advanced suspension setups compared to standard versions. The upcoming Road King ST is expected to run on the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine. By contrast, the CVO versions of the Road Glide and Street Glide use even more powerful Milwaukee-Eight 121 engines. The non-CVO versions of the Road Glide and Street Glide will likely use the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine and will not include the carbon components that remain exclusive to CVO models. Meanwhile, the 2025 Road King Special used a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine with side cases but no windshield, while the regular 2022 Road King used a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine with both side cases and a windshield.
Context
Harley-Davidson revealed these upcoming plans after creating and later taking down online accessories pages for the Road King ST. The company has also set up accessory pages for other non-CVO models like the Deadwood and the Super Glide, pointing to a broader update of its motorcycle lineup.
