India reached 64 for 1 after five overs, with Samson continuing his aggressive knock alongside incoming batter Ishan Kishan.

Context

International cricket venues in India frequently prepare hard pitches with true bounce that suit high-scoring T20 matches under lights. Dew often plays a major tactical role in evening fixtures across the country, influencing captains to prefer fielding first so their bowlers can handle a dry ball before moisture sets in later in the match.
