The situation escalated when the eatery owner's two brothers joined in, attacking the victim. Authorities have confirmed that the assault occurred on Tuesday. The incident is being investigated by the local police. Traders in Chandni Chowk's Kucha Mahajani have reported that at least 56 jewellery shops in the area have been sealed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) due to enforcement of building codes. The MCD has reportedly backdated notices affixed to the shops, causing significant concern among traders. Traders claim that jewellery and bullion worth crores remain locked inside the sealed premises. In another incident, a ticket checker was injured at Jogeshwari railway station after a passenger refused to pay the fine and attacked him. The injured ticket checker, Gupta, received seven stitches under his eye at a hospital. The passenger, Ajay Dhivar, who works in a bank, was apprehended by railway personnel. An FIR has been registered against Dhivar by the Government Railway Police. The incident at Pimple Nilakh is being viewed as a case of hate crime, with the victim's family alleging that the attackers were motivated by hatred for the victim's relationship. Police detained the godown owner and registered a case of causing death by negligence. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested documents from the Malwani police following a Bombay High Court order directing an FIR registration. The CBI has been tasked with conducting the investigation, which was previously handled by the Mumbai Police. The Mumbai Police had concluded that Disha Salian's death was a suicide, but her father has petitioned the court seeking a murder investigation into suspicious circumstances. Technical and forensic agencies will examine the scene to determine the explosion's precise cause. The explosion has raised concerns about workplace safety in the industrial sector, with experts warning of the dangers of unsecured oxygen cylinders. The godown owner has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
