Actor Meezaan Jafri is serving as the brand ambassador for Killer Jeans in a new nationwide marketing push titled the Genes of India campaign. The home-grown denim label launched the initiative to highlight how everyday wardrobes incorporate denim from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The company aims to celebrate how different cities, regions, and generations style their clothing.
New Products
The brand has introduced a new item called Neo Flare, which features a slim cut through the hip, thigh, and knee before opening up below the knee. The collection also includes Selvedge Denim alongside several fabric innovations. These include K-Tech Denim for a lighter feel, SoftPro Denim for a softer touch, and Cool Core Denim designed for changing weather.
Leadership Statements
"Denim is something almost everyone in India relates to, whatever their background or city," said Meezaan Jafri. He added that the campaign does not dictate a single way to dress, but rather embraces diverse personal styles. Hemant Jain, the joint managing director of parent company Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited, noted that the brand focuses on local manufacturing, fit, and comfort to support the domestic market.
Context
Home-grown fashion labels in India often launch regional lifestyle campaigns to connect with younger consumers who favor local manufacturing and versatile everyday clothing. Denim brands frequently highlight fabric innovations to attract buyers looking for comfort across different seasonal climates.
