Aneet Padda posted an emotional note remembering late actor Nana Patekar, saying his role in the upcoming horror‑comedy Shakti Shalini may be his final posthumous release. She wrote that the first time she met Nana Patekar she could barely speak, describing him as honest, unfiltered and unapologetically himself. Padda added that he lived life on his own terms, chose simplicity over fame and reminded her what it truly meant to be an actor. She said listening to him speak, watching him work and simply being around him is a lesson she will always carry. Padda expressed gratitude for meeting him early in her career and for the chance to work with him, noting that one of his last films being with her leaves her without words and feels surreal. She concluded the tribute with "I’m grateful our paths crossed, even if only for a short while, and I’ll carry it for the rest of my life. Rest in peace, Sir." Director Aditya Sarpotdar also paid respects, calling the loss difficult to put into words and saying he felt fortunate to work with a true legend. He recalled the childlike enthusiasm Nana brought to every set and remembered narrating the film to him at his Donje farmhouse with writer @boldmonk. Sarpotdar said Nana never saw his role in isolation, constantly thinking about the script, the film’s world and the actors, always trying to make each film better. He noted that Nana lived for cinema and was also a man beyond the actor. Nana Patekar died on Thursday and was cremated with full state honours at his Donje farmhouse in Pune. ## Context Nana Patekar was a celebrated Hindi‑film actor known for intense roles and a no‑nonsense style, making his last appearance in Shakti Shalini a notable moment for fans and the industry.
