Dhurandhar 2 Music Enters Grammy Race Across Nine Categories

The musical score for Aditya Dhar's movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge is officially in the running for the upcoming Grammy Awards. Music director Shashwat Sachdev created the tracks, while production banners T-Series and B62 Studios are leading the awards push. The team shared news of the entry on social media, targeting nine separate fields for the 69th annual ceremony set for February 7.

The Categories

The complete album is up for consideration in the compilation soundtrack category for visual media. Individual tracks received entries in specialized fields as well. The Arijit Singh track 'Phir Se' aims for the visual media songwriting prize. 'Aari Aari' targets the Asian pop music performance field, featuring contributions from Bombay Rockers, Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas, Reble, Token, and Sudhir Yaduvanshi. Global music performance entries went to 'Jaan Se Guzarte Hai' and 'Kanhaiyya'. Pop duo or group performance consideration went to 'Jaiye Sajana', which features Jasmine Sandlas and Satinder Sartaaj. The remaining entries include 'Destiny – Mann Atkeya' for rap performance, 'Vaari Jaavan' for dance or electronic recording, and 'Hum Pyaar Karne Wale' for remixed recording.

Director Aditya Dhar previously shared details about the rapid creation process on social media, noting that Sachdev put together fourteen tracks in just eleven days for the sequel, alongside a three-day background score. For the first installment, the composer delivered nine songs in nine days and finished the background music in six days. Both albums came out within a three-month window and climbed global music charts. Trade tracker Sacnilk reports that the two-part film series brought in 3,120 crore rupees globally.

Submitting music for Grammy consideration simply means entering the formal qualification stage rather than securing an actual nomination. These tracks must now clear specific Academy criteria and pass through multiple rounds of member voting before the final nominees are revealed.
