The Incident
The arrests took place on Sunday after a video went viral on social media showing the men hitting students and manhandling women on DDU Marg. The violence happened during an October 10 protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The demonstration was organized by the Cockroach Janta Party and various Left groups over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

The arrested men are Raman Saini, 50, Vivekanand alias Vivek, 32, Kapil Kumar, 27, and Ravinder Singh alias Govind Hindu, 35.
