Analysing bowling challenges on flat pitches with dew, Yuzvendra Chahal noted that small grounds make defending scores difficult, pointing to recent IPL trends and Ranchi where 250 runs were chased down in 18.3 overs. Virender Sehwag praised 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's aggressive mindset and stated that age is irrelevant once a player reaches the top level, comparing him to 38-or-40-year-old Virat Kohli. Suresh Raina congratulated 36-year-old Bhuvneshwar Kumar for his hard work in domestic cricket and wished him well for New Zealand.

Context

Holkar Stadium in Indore is well known for offering batting-friendly pitches with short boundaries, which frequently produce high-scoring encounters in limited-overs cricket. Teams touring India often face severe dew factors in evening matches, making it harder for spinners and fast bowlers to grip the ball effectively.
