Turkey police detain 47 in nationwide raids on gay venues and activist homes

Police in Turkey detained 47 people during raids on gay bars and the homes of LGBTQ+ activists. The operations spanned 12 provinces over the weekend and were presented by the government as part of a campaign called "My Family is Safe" aimed at protecting family values.
