Catherine Zeta-Jones slams 'nepo baby' label as harmful
Reported by Tanvi Pillai (Section Editor) · BBC Entertainment ·
Catherine Zeta-Jones called the label "nepo baby" horrific, saying the children did not choose their birth circumstances. The term is used for offspring of famous parents who are thought to gain wealth and fame through family connections. The 56-year-old actress, who is married to Michael Douglas – the son of late Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas – has two children, Dylan and Carys. Both Dylan and Carys have entered the entertainment industry, following the path of their parents. Zeta-Jones highlighted the unfair pressure the label puts on young performers and urged the public to stop blaming them for their family background.
