Free Bone Health Camp
Shri Physio and Rehab Centre in Chennai will host an osteoporosis awareness and detection camp on October 20 to mark World Osteoporosis Day. Consultant orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeon Shriram Krishnamoorthy will lead the initiative. The program aims to spread awareness about bone health and the value of early check-ups and prevention.
Tests and Consultations
The camp offers free bone density assessments, Vitamin D3 tests, and physiotherapy consultations. Attendees will also learn simple daily exercises designed to build stronger bones, keep people moving easily, and protect overall bone health. The event takes place at the Wellness Hall on the first floor of the centre from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and walk-in visitors are welcome.
Context
Osteoporosis is a common condition that weakens bones and makes them much easier to break, which makes early detection and active care important. Public health camps like this help people spot potential health risks early before more serious fractures occur.
