The Women's Circuit Racing World Championship will switch to CFMoto motorcycles starting from its fourth season in 2027. CFMoto has signed an agreement with championship hosts Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme and Dorna Sports to supply its 675SR-R supersport machine, replacing the Yamaha R7 that served as the official motorcycle since 2024.
Championship Details
WorldWCR operates as one of four championships under the WorldSBK series, alongside Sportbike, Supersport, and Superbike. It is the first world-level road racing championship built entirely for female riders, and it is currently running its third season. Because it is a one-make series, every competitor rides the exact same model, which puts the spotlight firmly on rider talent and motorcycle capability.
Machine Specs
The road-legal version of the 675SR-R runs on a 675cc, triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pumps out 95 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque. While 2027 marks its debut in a world championship, the bike has already raced in the British Superbike Championship, where it secured a second-place finish and became the first Chinese-built production motorcycle to achieve that feat. CFMoto developed the bike alongside the Aspar Moto2 and Moto3 teams, whose riders helped test it, following the CFMoto Aspar team's triple championship win in 2024 across the constructor, rider, and team categories.
Support and Goals
CFMoto becomes the first Chinese manufacturer to supply bikes for the global series. Beyond providing the motorcycles, the brand will supply parts, technical assistance, and an on-site technical team, viewing the move as a key way to prove its racing capabilities worldwide.
Context
One-make racing series are designed to keep competition fair by ensuring every rider has identical equipment so that individual skill determines the winner. Manufacturer partnerships in motorsport often help brands test new engine and chassis technologies under extreme race conditions before passing those improvements on to regular street bikes.
