India secured their eighth Asia Cup cricket title after defeating Sri Lanka in the final match. Batters Shafali and Mandhana set up the victory by helping India score enough runs to set Sri Lanka a target of 184. In reply, Sri Lanka struggled against the Indian bowling attack and were bowled out for just 111 runs. Indian bowlers Charani and Deepti led the attack, sharing six wickets between them to collapse the Sri Lankan batting line-up. Their performance ensured Sri Lanka never got close to the required target. With this win, India maintained their strong record in the tournament by lifting the Asia Cup trophy for the eighth time.
