Music fans gather in Stirling for weekend concert event

UPDATE - follow-up to In pictures: Thousands flock to Radio 2 in the Park in Stirling: Thousands of music fans attended the Radio 2 in the Park weekend event held with Stirling Castle as the backdrop.

Friday Opening

A DJ started the event on Friday night as the crowd danced to classic singalong anthems and favorite tracks alongside presenters Sara Cox, Gary Davies, DJ Spoony, Michelle Visage, and Rylan.

Weekend Lineup

Performers on Saturday included Chaka Khan, Lulu, Texas, Emeli Sande, Jack Savoretti, ABC, The Script, and Alexandra Burke. Simple Minds headlined the Sunday show, leading a lineup that featured Deacon Blue, Level 42, Blue, Cast, James Blunt, and Appleton.
