Masked attackers fired six shots at the Punjab home of Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu early Sunday morning. The incident took place at 1:33 am and was caught on CCTV cameras. No one was hurt in the shooting because the singer was abroad at the time to promote his new film. Sidhu is known to have been close to late singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Police Action
Local police registered a case of attempt to murder and filed charges under the Arms Act following the attack. Officers are currently examining the CCTV footage to identify the culprits. Meanwhile, an unverified audio clip has surfaced in which an unknown party claims responsibility for the shooting, and investigators are verifying its authenticity.
