BMW brings updated i7 electric sedan to market starting at Rs 1.95 crore

BMW has launched the facelifted i7 electric sedan, offering it in two trims for buyers. The 50 xDrive M Sport is priced at Rs 1.95 crore, and the M70 xDrive carries a price tag of Rs 2.65 crore, with both prices being ex-showroom. Both versions run on a 112.5kWh battery pack paired with updated electric powertrains. The 50 xDrive variant puts out 455 horsepower and 600Nm of torque, and it offers a claimed WLTP range of 728km. The M70 variant delivers 680 horsepower and up to 1,100Nm of torque, with a slightly higher claimed range of 686km. Visual updates include a squared-off illuminated grille and revised split LED headlights on the front of the 50 xDrive M Sport. Meanwhile, the M70 features slim rear LED tail-lamps with smoked lenses alongside M badges on the outer edges. Inside, the cabin gets a redesigned layout featuring BMW's Panoramic Vision display, a 17.9-inch touchscreen, and a 14.6-inch passenger display. Features carried over from the previous model include the 31.3-inch rear Theatre Screen, powered seats, and powered doors. For charging, the electric sedan supports up to 250kW DC fast charging, which takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in a claimed 28 minutes. Regarding manufacturing, the 50 xDrive is put together locally, while the M70 comes in as a fully imported unit.
