Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Vulcan S cruiser at Rs 8.23 lakh, marking a Rs 10,000 price increase over the previous 2026 version. The updated motorcycle brings back the 1.4Nm of torque that was lost in the 2026 model, bringing the total torque output of its 649cc parallel-twin engine back to 62.4Nm, while power remains at 61hp. Braking hardware has been revised with smaller disc rotors on both ends. The front disc is now 272mm, down from 300mm, while the rear disc is reduced to 216mm from 250mm. Dual-channel ABS remains the only rider aid, and the bike keeps its analogue-digital instrument cluster, suspension setup, 705mm seat height, 130mm ground clearance, and 235kg kerb weight. The cruiser is now available in a Metallic Carbon Gray shade with bluish green highlights, replacing the older Metallic Flat Spark Black. Deliveries are set to begin in mid-September 2026. The Vulcan S faces no direct rivals in its exact segment, though the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 serves as its closest competitor at Rs 4.05 lakh.
