The 2027 Volvo EX60 is the Swedish brand's most advanced vehicle yet and shows what future electric cars from the company will look like. The software-defined electric vehicle features a strong new computer system, an 800-volt electrical setup for quick charging, and a brand-new infotainment setup. Its sharp outer look gives it a wagon-like feel from certain angles.

Launch Models And Pricing

The EX60 arrives in the United States this summer in two versions. The rear-wheel-drive P6 makes 369 horsepower and starts at $59,795 for the standard Plus trim. The all-wheel-drive P10 pushes out 503 horsepower and starts at $62,145 for the Plus trim.

Performance And Size

EPA range estimates run from 295 to 322 miles depending on the model and wheel size. Zero to 60 miles per hour times take between four and five seconds. The two-row SUV is slightly longer than the gas-powered XC60, though cabin space stays mostly the same. The vehicle offers 20-, 21-, and 22-inch wheel choices, along with electric door-handle releases built into small winglets on the beltline. The drive focuses on refinement with a quiet cabin and smooth ride quality rather than pure sportiness.

Context

Electric vehicle makers often build cars on specialized platforms with high-voltage architectures to reduce charging times on long trips. Traditional automakers are increasingly shifting toward software-defined vehicle designs to allow over-the-air updates and advanced digital features.
