Indian Tech Shares Jump Following Strong Quarterly Results From HCL Technologies
Reported by Pooja Nair (Section Editor) Β· Economic Times - Markets Β·
Reported by one source so far
Indian IT stocks saw a big boost after HCL Technologies released strong earnings for the September quarter. The Nifty IT index went up by 5.2 percent, which is its biggest jump in 17 months. All 10 stocks inside this index finished the day higher, with HCL Technologies leading the way by rising 8.42 percent.
Market Support
Market sentiment has recently taken a hit due to worries about how artificial intelligence will change the industry. Even so, a stronger US dollar gave extra support to these tech stocks during the session.
Context
IT stock indexes track the performance of major technology companies listed on the stock market. Currency values like a stronger dollar often help Indian tech firms because they earn a large part of their revenue in foreign currencies.
