Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to Transfer 41st Installment of Ladli Bahna Yojana Today from Umaria

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will release the 41st installment of the Ladli Bahna Yojana today from Guruwahi village in Umaria district.

Financial Transfer and Development Projects

A total of 1.25 crore eligible women across the state will receive 1,500 rupees each directly in their bank accounts through a single click. During this visit, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 136 development works costing 144.15 crore rupees. This includes 87.31 crore rupees for 68 completed works and 56.84 crore rupees for 68 new projects. In the Bandhavgarh assembly area, 18 works worth 59.07. करोड़ rupees will be inaugurated and 46 works worth 32.25 crore rupees will see foundation stones laid. In the Manpur assembly area, 50 works worth 28.25 crore rupees will be inaugurated alongside the foundation stone laying for 22 works costing 24.59 crore rupees.

Travel Schedule and Traffic Arrangements

The Chief Minister departs from Bhopal's state hangar by plane at 11:50 am and reaches Jabalpur's Dumna Airport at 12:25 pm. He then takes a helicopter at 12:35 pm to arrive at the Guruwahi helipad at 1:10 pm for local events before heading back by helicopter at 3:45 pm. To manage traffic, specific parking rules apply for vehicles coming from Manpur, Umaria, Amarpur, and Indwar, while heavy vehicles face diversions at Siguri crossroads, Parasi gate, and Panpatha barrier.

Scheme Background and Protests

Launched in June 2023, the scheme has distributed 40 installments up to September 2026, providing standard beneficiaries with 1,500 rupees per month and social security pension recipients with 900 rupees per month directly via Aadhaar-linked DBT accounts. Beneficiaries also received extra assistance of 250 rupees four times in August 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, backed by a 23,882.81 crore rupee budget allocation for the 2026-27 financial year. Meanwhile, the Youth Congress announced plans to show black flags over issues like unfulfilled paddy support price demands, incomplete National Highway-43 construction, doctor shortages, and job scarcity, leading police to issue notices and warning of action for rule violations.
